01 Sept 2008, 17.00
Afternoon view of the sky from the garden and my birthday party at the house with the suspended garden (this is its name today).
Every one of us is a star. Bring someone from your favorite starts with you to the garden.

Symbols as locks

A red red bridge ornamented with white flowers and yellow butterflies. the surface of the river gets gradually dark red river and on the top of the hill a shape of a majestic deer, which is twice your size, cuts with black a sky full of all shades between blue, through red until black. This is what I see. The smell I can´t remember neither the voice. Is visual what I keep as memories.

building healing

(music to play as you read the post)

Gardens are places of healing.
A friend said the other day that gardeners are the calmest people at work. " That is because you do something and the result of the action will take several weeks, months or even years to occur" I replied.

In the very special garden of Mr Baldassare Forestiere, most of the plants are out of sight. as a way to protect the plants from the harsh weather, the builder/gardener made holes and tunnels on the ground and there, recurring to numerology and combining skills leaned in previous jobs, he built his secret garden. Many gardens and houses are built by the same people who inhabit or use the place. They are motivated to construction through a call or a dream with god or a message from an angel. This is what triggers the imagination and consequently the action. These amazing as personal places sometimes take years to be constructed and once ready, nothing else is left but to move on with life somewhere else.
How does the artist knows her/his work is done? are these cases of houses and gardens building part of a healing process?

ADVICE

An advice is a gift given with generosity. Who gives an advice, gives it without reward, shares with someone else a bit of personal knowledge. No strings or commitments, not the beginning of a discussion or argument.
If advices were going to have a solid, physical shape, who gives it could wrap it up in a fancy package. This would turn it into a commodity. But an advice is ecology friendly – no papers, no plastic no mass production. Knowledge is an invisible value and what we have of more personal. is the combination and filtration of what we remember from knowledge we received from other people.

SILENCE

To be silent is a rational decision. Words are charged with emotions; words can be provocative, for example, and to choose silence is to choose exterior serenity. Is also a result of reflection, inner balance and the exterior evidence of a strong individual solution. Silence is another way to give without asking anything back, as probably the one(s) who receive it may not even be aware of this as a gift.

awareness

Relax your mind and focus on the moment of right now.
Nothing exists beyond now. thought doesn't exist either as far as thinking of future or past.
This moment of right now can be a party or meditation, it can be a performance or meeting someone special (love at first sight?). Preparation (when applicable) requires learning techniques: how does organs work, how does a computer work - know yourself, learn more about yourself, push yourself further, extend the possibilities of yourself (physical and mentally - embrace knowledge).
Preparation requires the right state of mind: a crescent will and awareness of one´s fragility.
These are random notes that I started to write when thinking about what meditation actually is and how it can differ depending on the belief it is related to. By practicing meditation using several techniques I find some similarities between the moment of performance and the one of meditation: the way this body is forgotten and the mechanisms. History is not existent and future is irrelevant. I am one through and with visuals and with something that is human and at the same time bigger that human - "more human that human", would say White Zombie.

Dear Prudence,
In this inaccessible room of mine (to most people at least) I am growing a mountain. the methodologies I invented for this quest are hard and is difficult to stick to them, especially because they require a lot of discipline and perseverance. I am developing and using these new methodologies also to grow an outdoors suspended garden.

re-thing

I would do with re-use a few old devices and technologies. as for example a scanner (very important as I need a few), big screen, DV tape player, DVD player and any sort of small spinning motor.
If anyone has something like this or any old similar stuff taking space which could make a better use of, let me know.

A year or a lifetime

Wish list for my birthday (and growing - will be updated):

+ I am still waiting for the ceramic black panther. If you happen to see one, get it right away.
+ Plants, bushes and trees (of small dimensions). Preferably eatable and ready to grow (in a big container, which can be improvised). A jasmine bush, a fig tree or rose plants of all sorts and colors.

This year the party will be in a possible far far land and with the limited attendance of 6 people (me included). I accept proposals for an after-birthday-party on the 1st September.

Rosas e labirintos secretos
